Hi,

I recently offered to share my new home-made iPad mini screen shield design. Well, here it is.

To use this, you’ll need to print 4 pages of A4, without any scaling (i.e.: DO NOT USE FIT-TO-PAGE, this has to be 100%! – IMPORTANT!).

Once you have printed them, get two thumb tacks (drawing pins), and carefully push them through the X marks on each sheet, aligning them using these marks. Then tape the page edges together so that the won’t move around from that point onwards.

How you then place these over your chosen material and cut it out is up to you. The internal marks / lines are FOLD LINES, I used flute board for my screen and I was able to score through one side of the material, it folded very nicely. (I have no idea how long it will last before it breaks through bending fatigue).

Anyway, I managed to make 4 from a single sheet of flute board costing a total of around US$ 6.50 🙂 I used sticky velcro strips to secure it to my iPad.

– You can’t complain at that price.

Here’s a link to the downloadable PDF: iPadScreenSheild_A4x4_Black. – I have NO idea how well this might print on LETTER SIZED paper (for you guys in the USA), we use A4, which is less wide, but longer… Again, just make sure you don’t scale this, and I hope it prints on your printable page area. If not, perhaps someone can fix it and email it back and I’ll re-share. 🙂

Chris.
